Materne-Confilux is certified ISO-9001, BRC and IFS. Which means that quality underlines everything that we do.

Our quality commitment: to collect and preserve the best fruit to make the best jams and compotes.

This obsession with quality starts in the orchards. Our experts nurture the fruit from the time that it matures to the time that it’s ready to be transported to the factory.

When it comes to Floreffe, the baton is handed over to another team of experts, who monitor the quality of the fruit throughout the production process. Taking every possible care, the fruit is sorted, measured, washed, stalked and stoned under the watchful eye of our qualified staff.

Once the fruit has been prepared, at a low temperature, the semi-ready product is taken along to be vacuum cooked, a technique which means that maximum levels of vitamins and flavour is preserved. The vacuum cooking process takes place at a very low temperature so that the sugar does not caramelise, and the natural flavour of the fruit is preserved.

Thanks to the specially designed layout of our production lines, divided over 3 floors, the fruit travels from one stage to the next by gravity (rather than being pumped), which offers the major advantage of keeping the fruit in whole pieces.

Before the packaging process, one last transparency check is carried out. This final check, which ensures absolute quality, is unique.

The jam jars then go into the pasteuriser. They are kept at around 80°C for 10 minutes to guarantee microbiological stability. This process is crucial, as our products do not contain any artificial preservatives or colours.
